Dr Hugo Pin is a Sunshine Coast GP with over 30 years of medical experience, combining strong clinical foundations with advanced procedural skills in veins, aesthetics and skin cancer medicine.
Originally trained in France, Dr Hugo completed his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Marseille in 1988 and later earned a Diploma in Ultrasound in 2000. He owned and operated an ultrasound diagnostic centre in the French West Indies for six years, developing extensive expertise in vascular and general ultrasound — skills that now underpin his precision in vein treatment.
After moving to Australia in 2006, he worked in emergency medicine at Nambour Hospital before attaining Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). He is now an Australian Citizen.
For more than 15 years, Dr Hugo has focused on minimally invasive vein treatments on the Sunshine Coast. He performs endovenous laser ablation, vein glue, ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy and ambulatory phlebectomy — all under local anaesthetic, without the need for hospital admission or general anaesthesia. His strong ultrasound background allows for accurate diagnosis, mapping and treatment planning.
Alongside his vein practice, Dr Hugo has extensive experience in aesthetic medicine, including advanced injectables, collagen stimulators, thread lifting (regional trainer for Sinclair), and cosmetic mole removal.
He also has a solid background in skin cancer medicine and surgery, holding advanced certificates in dermoscopy and skin cancer surgery. He performs thorough skin checks, excisions and flap repairs, with a focus on achieving both safe oncological outcomes and good cosmetic results.
Known for his practical, down-to-earth approach, Dr Hugo values clear explanations and tailored treatment plans. His aim is simple: to provide safe, modern, evidence-based care in a relaxed Sunshine Coast setting.
